Tasty southern style side dish that is surely prepared in my household for every Thanksgiving holiday.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sweet potatoes (mashed)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 - eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, light
  • 1/3 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup pecans (chopped)

How To Make sweet potato crunch

  • Step 1
    Combine all the ingredients (except the topping ingredients) in a large bowl and mix well. Pour this mixture into a baking dish that is large enough to hold the mixture.
  • Step 2
    In a separate bowl, add the topping ingredients and mix until blended. Sprinkle the topping over the sweet potato mixture.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
