Ingredients
- 4 medium sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1 cup pecans chopped
- 2 small shallots fine dice
How To Make sweet potato casserole

Step 1In skillets saute the shallots in 2 tablespoons of butter until tender..set aside.

Step 2Wash and bake sweet potatoes in 375F oven until fork tender about 35 minutes..when cooked slice them in half and scrape out flesh into a bowl and mash add the milk, eggs, granulated sugar and maple syrup and shallots and mash until well combined.

Step 3In a separate bowl add brown sugar, pecans, flour and butter and with pastry blender or 2 forks mash until combined. Grease casserole dish with margarine or butter add the potato mixture to dish and sprinkle with crumb mixture Bake in 350F oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
