sweet potato casserole

I can't remember where this recipe came from, but I make it for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. No one EVER tires of it! :) It's really good enough for dessert as well.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk, 2% or whole
- 1 - beaten egg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make sweet potato casserole

Step 1Cook potatoes 25 to 30 minutes over medium heat, covered, until tender. Drain and combine potatoes with sugar, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir until mixed through. Break up potatoes, but don't mash. Pour mixture into greased 2 quart casserole.

Step 2Meanwhile, combine brown sugar and flour. Cut in cubed butter until mixture resembles corse crumbs. Stir in pecan pieces and sprinkle mixture on top of potatoes. Bake uncovered 25 minutes or until set at 350.
