Ingredients For steam-fried potatoes

8-10 lbpotatoes, peeled and sliced thin

2 cwater

1 Tbspoil or bacon grease

1 lgonion, chopped fine

salt and pepper to taste
How To Make steam-fried potatoes

1Coat the bottom of a large skillet with oil or bacon grease.

2Add sliced potatoes until the skillet is full. Add water. Cover potatoes with onion, salt, and pepper.

3Cover skillet with a lid and let cook over medium-high heat until tender.

4Remove lid and begin turning over potatoes, mixing in the onion.

5Continue cooking until all water evaporates and potatoes start sticking to the bottom of the pan. let potatoes brown on the bottom before turning over with a spatula.

6Serve immediately.
