Ingredients
- 2 pounds hashbrowns, thawed
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup onions, chopped
- 1 can cream of chicken soup or cream of celery soup
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups plain, crushed cornflakes
How To Make southern party potatoes

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place defrosted potatoes in a casserole dish. Combine butter, salt, pepper, onion, soup, sour cream and cheese. Mix together thoroughly. Pour over potatoes Mix the 1/4 cup of butter and the crushed corn flakes and sprinkle over the top. Cover and bake for 45 minutes.

Step 2If you want to make this a meal instead of a side, all you have to do is add a pound of chopped ham in with the potatoes. Pour the cheese mixture on top.
