Ingredients

  • 7 cups instant mashed potatoes
  • 1 - egg, beaten
  • 1 large scallion, chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • - salt
  • - pepper
  • 2 cups corn flakes, crushed
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • - onion salt

How To Make sour cream potato pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Combine egg, scallion, sour cream, salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Make instant potatoes according to package directions, EXCEPT omit the milk; instead, add the sour cream mixture.
  • Step 4
    Spread in baking pan.
  • Step 5
    Toss corn flakes with butter and onion salt, to taste; spoon on top of potato mixture.
  • Step 6
    Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the crumbs begin to brown.
