Goodness, are these incredible. Gooey, cheesy, and potatoes? Is anyone else drooling just thinking about it? I have made these in the microwave, but they don't end up as yummy as in the oven.

How to Make Sliced Baked Potatoes


  1. Peel potatoes is skin is tough, otherwise just rinse. Cut in thin slices but not all the way through: place the handle of a wooden spoon alongside the potato to avoid cutting it through. Put potatoes in a baking dish, fan them out slightly, drizzle with butter and sprinkle with herbs. Bake at 425 degrees 50 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle with cheeses. Bake an additional 10-15 minutes until lightly browned, cheeses are melted, and potato is soft inside.
