Ingredients
- 6-8 medium raw potatoes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup 2% or whole milk
- 1-2 teaspoon salt
How To Make simple, perfect mashed potatoes

Step 1Peel potatoes and clean under cool tap water.

Step 2Cut potatoes into cubes.

Step 3Place potatoes in a large pot of Dutch oven. Fill with water about 2-inches above potatoes.

Step 4Boil potatoes until soft, about 25 minutes.

Step 5Drain well. Return potatoes to pot.

Step 6Add remaining ingredients and beat with medium speed of an electric mixer until potatoes reach desired level of consistency.
