1/2 qty peeled (i like russett) potatoes
needed water (little salt)
1/2 qty instant potatoes (like betty crocker)
needed butter
needed milk
needed pepper

How To Make secret mashed potatoes (courtesy 4* chef)

Step 1

Potatoes depends on quantity needed? 1/2 of total needed

Step 2

Instant potatoes depends on quantity needed? 1/2 of total needed.
Step 3

Boil potatoes...leave in water...while hot, add instant potatoes, milk, salt , pepper, butter. Mash by hand with masher. Mixer makes potatoes "starchy". Do not use electric mixer! More gently you mix or mash, fluffier. Chef told me this too.
