Seasoned Basil Potatoes

This is one of the many ways I like to cook potatoes. French Fries in a new way. Kids LOVE them!!

6 large
potatoes (any kind you like)
1 Tbsp
garlic, minced
1/2 tsp
onion powder
3/4 tsp
seasoned salt
1/2 tsp
dried basil
1 small
onion, optional
1 small
green pepper, optional
1 stick
butter or olive oil

How to Make Seasoned Basil Potatoes


  • 1If you chose to have onions and peppers, clean them, then chop them into bite sized chunks and set aside.
  • 2Clean potatoes (don't have to peel) and slice into about 1/4 inch slices.
  • 3In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic, onion powder, and basil.
  • 4Put the potatoes (onions and peppers if wanted) in a glass baking dish and cover in the butter mixture making sure all potatoes are covered. spread them out evenly in the pan and sprinkle with seasoned salt.
  • 5Bake for about 35 minutes or until they are cooked for your liking.
