WHITE SAUCE IS 1ST 4 INGREDIENTS
1/2 tspsalt and pepper each
2 1/2 Cmilk
6-8med potatoes, slice thinly
1 medonion, chopped fine
2 Cham, cut in pieces
How to Make SCALLOPED POTATOES & HAM BY Freda
- Make a white sauce of the 1st 4 ingredients.
(melt butter and flour and salt pepper and milk) Stirring constantly until smooth and bubbly.
- Peel and slice taters;
layer 1/3 potatoes, 1/2 onion & Ham, and 1/2 of the white sauce in a 6 qt casserole;
top with remaining potatoes, and white sauce.
Dot with 1-2 TBS Butter.
Cover and BAKE 30 min.
- uncover and Bake about 1 hr, or until potatoes are soft.
(NOTE: I use part ham juice and milk)
