sauerkraut & weiners
Another staple in our family, this was most always served with fried potatoes (ketchup on the side). I don't recall which day of the week we had this, but it seems that Mother did make it once a week, probably after spending the whole day doing household chores. Ingredients
- 2 cans bavarian style sauerkraut
- 1 package (10) hot dogs
How To Make sauerkraut & weiners

Step 1Cut hot dogs into 1-inch pieces. Combine with kraut in a large saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat until it starts to boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about five minutes or until heated through and hot dogs are getting puffy.

Step 2Serve with fried potatoes. May add sliced onions when cooking.
