praline topped sweet potato casserole
My husband got this recipe from a distant relative & makes it every year for thanksgiving. It is delicious! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients
- 3 cups sweet potatoes (baked & peeled)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spices
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup pecans, in pieces
How To Make praline topped sweet potato casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2Grease a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish

Step 3Whip potatoes with mixer (this helps remove any strings).

Step 4Add sugar & mix.

Step 5Add eggs one at a time & mix completely after each addition.

Step 6Measure vanilla & evaporated milk in a cup. Mix it then slowly add to potato mixture.

Step 7Add cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, & salt.

Step 8Spread evenly in bottom of prepared casserole pan.

Step 9Combine the butter, flour, & sugar until combined. Add chopped pecans then sprinkle evenly over potatoes.

Step 10Bake at 350 covered with foil or a lid for 20 minutes. Uncover & cook an additional 10 minutes.
