This is an easy recipe that can easily be doubled or tripled. We have a big family... and they love this appetizer! Just made a double batch with thick chili, onion, cheese and sour cream....!!! This recipe and photo are ones from JAP... We have made this many times, and we make it a bit different every time... We like to play with our food! Have fun and Play with your food!

Ingredients

  • 8 - russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 6 - chopped green onions
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream

How To Make homemade potato skins

  • Step 1
    Whole baked potatoes (or sliced and oiled baked potatoes, they cook faster). When cool enough to handle cut in half and remove pulp.
  • Step 2
    Melt butter and add paprika. Brush butter mixture into potato skin.

    Place skins under broiler for a few minutes until browned.
  • Fried, chopped up bacon
