Ingredients
- 9 medium Russet potatoes, Idaho preferred, peeled and quartered
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 1/2 - 2 teaspoons salt, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup whipping cream, whipped
- green onions, sliced (for garnish)
How To Make potato casserole supreme

Step 1Cook the potatoes, covered, in boiling water to cover for 15 minutes or until tender. Drain, and then mash with a potato masher.

Step 2Add the milk, butter, salt, and pepper; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth.

Step 3Spoon the potato mixture into a lightly greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish.

Step 4Fold the cheese into the whipped whipping cream and spread over the potato mixture.

Step 5Bake at 360 degrees F for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Garnish with sliced green onions or parsley if desired.
