This could be either served with breakfast or as a side dish. Heck, it could even be the main dish in my house!

Ingredients

  • 1 package (2 lb pkg) frozen hash brown cubes (o'brien)
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • dash pepper
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • TOPPING
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups corn flakes, crushed (not to a powder)

How To Make potato casserole

  • Step 1
    Mix all of first set of ingredients together.
  • Step 2
    Put into greased 9 x 13 pan.
  • Step 3
    Melt remaining butter and stir into corn flakes.
  • Step 4
    Mix and sprinkle on as topping.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
