My sister and I make pierogis each holiday and mine never seem to turn out. Last year, I gave up! I found this recipe and it's much easier and tastes very close to homemade pierogis!

Ingredients
- 1 8 oz. packages lasagna noodles
- 3 medium chopped onions
- 1/2 pound butter or margerine
- 1/2 pound sharp cheddar cheese(like cracker barrel aged vermont
- 7-8 - potatoes or 1 tub of pre-made mashed potatoes
How To Make pierogi casserole

Step 1Cook noodles as package directs.

Step 2Sautee onions in the butter.

Step 3If using real potaoes, make as usual for mashed potatoes.

Step 4Chunk cheese and melt cheese into potatoes.

Step 5In a greased lasagna pan, layer in this order until ingredients are gone. Noodles, potatoes... Pour all onions/butter over the top.

Step 6Bake 15-20 min. at 350.
