How To Make perfectly tender rubbed pork steaks
-
Step 1Place potatoes and onion in bottom of crock pot. add broth and fresh mushrooms, then place steaks on top. Cook on low about 5-6 hrs. *Before placing steaks into crock pot, i add a little olive oil to a pan, let this get HOT and give them a quick sear on both sides.*
-
Step 2you can add the soup at any time, sometimes i add it to top of steaks during cooking or wait to add the last hour, remove the steaks and make the "gravy" to the consistency you like. i like to remove meat and taters, add some off the juices to the soup, turn crock pot to high and make a roux, then pour in the soup mixture
