Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1 lb
    whole tiny new potatoes
  • 1 1/2 c
shelled peas or loose frozen, i used frozen
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    milk

How to Make Peas & New Creamed Potatoes

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut any large potatoes in half - cook in small amount of boiling water with salt, not the above salt, for 10 minutes or so.
  2. Add peas, cook 5-10 minutes till tender, then drain
  3. In medium pan cook onion in butter till tender, not brown.
  4. Add milk all at once, cook and stir till thick and bubbly.
  5. Cook and stir 1 minute more - stir in potatoes and peas - heat through, season to taste, serves 4 - you'll probably want to double this one.
