peanutty butterscotch candy

Have not made these, but, what the heck, they are quick and easy and sound very good. Does anyone remember the round peanut patty? I have tasted this recipe and is very good, prettymuch tastes like the store bought ones.

Ingredients
- 1 - large bag butterscotch chips
- 6 tbs - peanut butter
- 1 bag - shoestring potatoes
- - melt butterscotch chip in microwave; watch carefully so as just to completely melt them. add the peanut butter and stir in until blended. then add shoestring potatoes, slowly, to the
- - consistency you want. pour into a wax paper lined dish, lightly sprayed with cooking spray and chill until firm. cut into squares, and store in airtight container
- PEANUT PATTY
- 3 cups - sugar
- 1 cup - water
- 1 cup - light corn syrup
- 1 lb. - raw peanuts
- 6 drops - red food coloring
- 1/4 cup - margarine & 1 pinch salt

Step 1Bring sugar, water and syrup to a boil; add peanuts and food coloring. Cook over medium heat to hard ball stage.

Step 2Remove from heat; add margarilne and salt. Beat until thick; pour onto large greased cookie sheet. Break into pieces when cool.
