- 3 1/2 pounds red potatoes, cubed
- 1 - onion, cut into wedges
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 pint cream
- 6 ounces gruyere cheese, grated

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Put cubed potatoes and onions in water and cook until just tender.

Step 2Drain and pour into a shallow buttered dish. Season with salt and pepper. Add cream.

Step 3Sprinkle with cheese and bake 20 minutes or until bubbly.
