For all we lovers of orange, this old recipe will satisfy our taste for our favorite fruit. I found this recipe and I could not resist it. This dish comes from 1958, Goodhousekeeping Meat Cook Book.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice
    ham--- 1 1/2
  • 6 medium
    sweet potatoes
  • 4 slice
    orange-- 1/2
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    orange juice, unsweetened
  • ·
    grated rind of one orange

How to Make Orange Ham 'n' Sweets

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 325. Cut edges of fat on ham and place in baking dish. Cover and bake 1 hr.
  2. Meanwhile, cook potatoes. Mix brown sugar, orange juice, and orange rind; set aside.
  3. Place cooked potatoes around ham with orange slices. Pour orange juice mixture over ham and potatoes.
  4. Return to oven and bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until brown.
