I have been making this recipe for more than 40 years and I have never heard a complaint. Everyone loves them!

Elevate your side dish with these onion-stuffed baked potatoes. They have a creamy texture with plenty of butter and sour cream. We sauteed the onions and they add tons of flavor to the filling. Top off these twice-baked potatoes with extra cheese and bacon bits for a hearty side dish that will be a hit with your family.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium baking potatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions, raw or sauteed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter, not margarine
  • 2 tablespoons dried chives
  • 2 tablespoons bacon bits
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - salt and pepper, to taste
  • - shredded cheddar cheese, as desired
