onion baked potatoes

These are so good, yet so simple. They could also be done on the grill. We love them. I especially love using Yukon Golds, or New Red Potatoes. Use whatever your favorite is. If I only make 3 potatoes, I drizzle the potato with the remaining onion butter warmed up...Yum! Also, to speed up the process, I have sliced the potatoes as recipe calls, microwave for about 5 minutes. Then spoon on the onion butter, and bake. My photos

Ingredients

  • 4 - 6 - potatoes, bakers or whatever you prefer
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package lipton onion soup mix

How To Make onion baked potatoes

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Wash potatoes and dry.
  • Step 2
    Slice raw potatoes into 1/2 inch slices, not cutting all the way through the potato. Place on individual foil sheets.
  • Step 3
    Combine melted butter and soup mix.
  • Step 4
    Spoon mixture over potatoes.
  • Step 5
    Wrap in foil and bake until done, approximately 1 hour.
  • Step 6
    Enjoy along side of your favorite entree...
