Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 7 large russet potatoes, washed, peeled and quartered
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- - sea salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make norwegian mashed potatoes

Step 1Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil to cook the potatoes.

Step 2Boil the potatoes 15 to 20 minutes, until fork tender.

Step 3When potatoes are done, drain and set aside to cool until cool enough to touch.

Step 4When potatoes are cool, stir cream and butter over medium low heat in a medium pot until butter has melted and mixture is smooth.

Step 5Once potatoes are cool enough to touch, run potatoes through a ricer.

Step 6Stir butter and cream mixture into the riced potatoes and beat potatoes until smooth using a whisk or hand mixer.

Step 7Stir in black pepper and sea salt and set potatoes aside.
