mormon funeral pototoes
This is a stand-by recipe to offer a family in mourning and an everyday recipe.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
Mormon funeral potatoes are a wonderful dish to bring to any type of gathering. While the name is unusual, the dish is delicious. It originated within the Mormon/LDS community where potluck-style luncheons are popular after a funeral. This recipe does serve a crowd. There's plenty of cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and melted butter mixed with shredded hash browns to make this casserole nice and creamy. Buttery Corn Flakes add a nice crunch.
