Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of celery soup or cream of mushroom soup
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 4 cups frozen southern-style hash brown potatoes or potatoes o'brien
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make *** mom's potatoes au gratin #2 ***

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease 1 qt casserole dish.
  • Step 2
    In 1 qt saucepan over medium heat, cook onion until tender. Stir in soup, cream cheese, stir until smooth & hot.
  • Step 3
    In casserole dish, alternate layers of frozen potatoes & hot cream sauce, ending with sauce layer. Cover & bake 45 minutes or until sauce & potatoes are tender. Remove from oven & sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
