My children will not eat anyone elses mashed potatos! I never thought they were all that special until I had friends over for Easter and they all wanted to know how I made them so delish. I guess some people have never added cheese and garlic. So I decided to post them just because : ) I do have pics at home so I will post when I am there

Ingredients

  • 5 pounds yukon gold potatoes, boiled in the skins
  • 4 slices thin white american cheese (not the stuff wrapped in plastic sleeves, get it from the deli
  • 4 slices thin provolone cheese
  • - minced garlic
  • - garlic powder
  • - salt, pepper
  • 1 stick real salted butter (no margarine)
  • - milk
  • - you can use more or less cheese to taste

How To Make mashed potatoes done my way

  • Step 1
    Put potatoes (skins on)in large bowl, add butter in dabs over potatoes. Beat on medium till blended.
  • Step 2
    Add cheeses and garlic and mix.
  • Step 3
    Add all seasonings and mix, tasting till its salted and seasoned to your taste.
  • Step 4
    Add just enough milk to make potatoes the consistancy you prefer. (we actually like ours a bit lumpy)
