This is a great way to serve mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving or Christmas since it's a little "extra special".

8 cups mashed potatoes
8 ounces pkg. cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup chopped chives (optional)

How To Make mashed potato casserole

Step 1

Mix together mashed potatoes and stir in all ingredients.

Step 2

Spread in a sprayed casserole dish.
Step 3

Dot with butter and sprinkle paprika across top.
Step 4

Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
