Growing up my mother made creamy taters with russett or idaho taters. I love red taters an I also love them lumpy! So here's my way!

  • 7-10 medium
    red taters cut into fourths
  • 1/2 stick
  • 1 can(s)
    evaporated milk
  • 1-2 tsp
    chilli powder
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Mash taters my way


  1. Bring taters to a boil over med high heat and cook until fork tender.Drain, do not rinse.
  2. Put butter into hot pot and dump taters on top. Hand mash and add evaporated milk at this point you can either continue to hand mash or use a mixer for fluffier taters.Add some regular milk if it is to thick.
  3. Add chilli powder and salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
