Growing up my mother made creamy taters with russett or idaho taters. I love red taters an I also love them lumpy! So here's my way!

prep time 15 Min
cook time 30 Min
method ---
yield 6-12 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 7-10 medium red taters cut into fourths
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1-2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make mash taters my way

  • Step 1
Bring taters to a boil over med high heat and cook until fork tender.Drain, do not rinse.
  • Step 2
Put butter into hot pot and dump taters on top. Hand mash and add evaporated milk at this point you can either continue to hand mash or use a mixer for fluffier taters.Add some regular milk if it is to thick.
  • Step 3
Add chilli powder and salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
