Growing up my mother made creamy taters with russett or idaho taters. I love red taters an I also love them lumpy! So here's my way!

Ingredients

7-10 medium
red taters cut into fourths
1/2 stick
butter
1 can(s)
evaporated milk
1-2 tsp
chilli powder
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Mash taters my way

Step-by-Step

  • 1Bring taters to a boil over med high heat and cook until fork tender.Drain, do not rinse.
  • 2Put butter into hot pot and dump taters on top. Hand mash and add evaporated milk at this point you can either continue to hand mash or use a mixer for fluffier taters.Add some regular milk if it is to thick.
  • 3Add chilli powder and salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
