- 1 ounce butter
- 2 ounces plain flour
- 1/4 pint milk
- - grated nutmeg (optional)
- 6 ounces minced ham or turkey - tuna or salmon or chopped vegetables
- - salt & pepper
How To Make mama mary croquettes

Step 1Melt butter,remove from heat and add flour. Return to the heat, stirring constantly, make a roux, add milk until the mixture leaves sides of saucepan. Add the meat or fish,continually mixing. Spread mixture in a shallow pan or on a plate and allow to set. Toss them through flour, then dip into beaten egg and then into the breadcrumbs. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
