Ingredients

  • 4 ounces packet idahoan applewood smoked bacon mash potatoes(instant)
  • 1 can diced new potatoes
  • 1 small shallot, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 - jalapeno pepper,diced
  • 2 ounces two 2oz big creek cheese snack, cut into small chunks.
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - self rising flour
  • - oil for frying

How To Make instant tator tots

  • Step 1
    Make potatoes according to package. Let cool.
  • Step 2
    Drain can of potatoes and spread on paper towel to dry them.
  • Step 3
    Add the diced potatoes to the mash potatoes and stir.
  • Step 4
    Add the shallot, garlic, jalapeno pepper, and cheese. Stir to combine.
  • Step 5
    Add salt and pepper. Stir in two tablespoons of flour.
  • Step 6
    Pour about 1/3 cup flour in a bowl. Add more as needed.
  • Step 7
    Heat oil in skillet or deep fryer.
  • Step 8
    scoop out teaspoon of potatoes and roll into flour and shape into a tot. You can make them as big or as small as you like.
  • Step 9
    Fry a few at a time until golden brown.
