Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon basil, dried
  • - salt, to taste

How To Make hot tomato cinnamon oven fries

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) (convection oven, otherwise 375°F or 190°C)
  • Step 2
    Peel potatoes and cut into 1 cm (0.4 inches) sticks and soak for 10 minutes in a bowl of cold water.
  • Step 3
    Combine olive oil, tomato paste, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, basil and salt to taste.
  • Step 4
    Drain potatoes well and toss in marinade. Spread on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for about 30 minutes, stirring once after 15 minutes.
