Ingredients

  • 12 large baking potatoes (red or Yukon Gold)
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar

How To Make hot german potato salad

  • Boiling potatoes.
    Step 1
    Boil your potatoes until just done and able to be poked easily with a fork (about 15 - 20 minutes).
  • Frying bacon in a skillet.
    Step 2
    While potatoes are cooking, cook bacon to crispy in a skillet. Remove bacon to drain; reserve drippings.
  • Cooking onions in bacon grease.
    Step 3
    Dice the onion, then cook in reserved bacon drippings until tender.
  • Pouring vinegar, celery salt, and sugar into skillet.
    Step 4
    Add vinegar, celery salt, and sugar. Stir until everything is dissolved. Add crumbled bacon.
  • Tossing potatoes in sauce.
    Step 5
