Ingredients
- 3 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon coarse sea salt
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup light sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk, warmed
- 3 tablespoons prepared horseradish, or more to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt, or more to taste
- freshly ground mixed peppercorns, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, finely chopped
How To Make horseradish mashed potatoes

Step 1In a large pot, add coarse sea salt, potatoes, and top with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.

Step 2Drain well and return the potatoes to the pot. Mash the spuds before adding butter; mash again.

Step 3Add sour cream and warm milk. Mash to combine before adding horseradish; mash to blend.

Step 4Season with garlic salt and freshly ground mixed peppercorns; add chives. Mix one more time, making sure there’s no lumps; taste and adjust if needed.
