I'm new to the site and thought I would start with posting a few seasonal favorites. This is my favorite holiday yams recipe. SO EASY and sweet enough w/out being too sweet. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 4 LARGE cans yams (drained) or about 5+lbs of fresh cooked, peeled yams cut into lg chunks.
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half & half)
- 1 stick of softened butter
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 cup walnuts or pecans
How To Make holiday yams

Step 1Place drained yams in large shallow baking pan. Mix together butter, cream and brown sugar and pour over yams. Cover and bake at 400' for about 20 min's. Uncover & sprinkle with nuts. Bake for additional 10 min's.
