I live ion sardinia at the moment (Iland of Italy), on a sail boat. For supper I made this recipe which tasted superb - not having any fresh potatoes on hand made that evening a great choice for eating. Fresh fish and gnochis prepared this way cut up fresh tomatoes. Love it!!!
1take the box of instant mashed pot.,work as directed,when done put to side 5 min.
put flour,salt,pepper, nutmeg, onions, garlic and basil . use hands and work the mixture..if needed use a little more flour to make the gnochis look oval shaped
2pour sunflower oil in frying pan, wait till hot, then take the gnochis and fry them on each side, when done put on paper towel.. eat while hot with salad, or meats your choice.. nice side dish, can be eaten cold as well.. easy to make..
you also can use any cheese to the mashed potatoes
while you prepare the gnochis..hmmmmmmmm, good
