I ate a similar casserole in French Camp,Mississippi, when my cousin died. I came home and tried to duplicate it. It is similar to the one I ate there.

Ingredients

8 oz
cheez whiz
8 oz
french onion dip
1 can(s)
cream of anything soup (mushroom is my favorite)
1 stick
butter
32 oz
chunky frozen hashbrowns
8 oz
mild cheddar cheese, grated

Step-By-Step

1Mix cheez whiz, french onion dip, soup, and 1/2 stick butter in a large bowl. Stir in the hashbrowns. pour mixture into a 13x9-inch pyrex dish. Top with mixture of grated cheese and remaining 1/2 stick of butter (melted). Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
