Ingredients For hash brown casserole

  • 2 lb
    pkg frozen shredded hash browns
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced onions
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 8 oz
    sour cream
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • topping
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 2 c
    cracker crumbs, saltines or ritz

How To Make hash brown casserole

  • 1
    Mix first seven ingredients, layer 1/2 of potato mixture in 13x9 buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 of cheese. Layer the rest of the potato mixture over cheese. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.

    Mix together the topping ingredients and spread on top of the cheese layer.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
