My husband loves potatoes and he loves casseroles so I combined the two a few years ago into this recipe. It is a great dish for potlucks or BBQ's. Enjoy!

onion, chopped
1 pkg
frozen hash browns, thawed
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s)
nacho cheese soup
1 tsp
salt or garlic salt
2 tsp
mccormick hot shot
2 c
shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Hash Brown Casserole


  • 1Cut bacon into bite sized pieces. Saute bacon and onion in a skillet until bacon is crisp & onions are tender.
  • 2In a large bowl, mix together hash browns, soups, salt, Hot Shot, bacon & onion until thoroughly combined.
  • 3Place mixture in a greased 13x9 casserole dish, cover dish with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • 4Remove foil and top with shredded cheese. Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and casserole is hot & bubbly.
