ground beef
1 medium
onion peeled and diced
4 clove
garlic peeled and chopped
jalapenos, fresh,seeded and diced
4 medium
tomatoes, seeded and diced
10 medium
green olives quartered
2 Tbsp
olive brine from the olive jar
1/4 c
raisins (softened in water for 20 minutes)
pablano chili seeded and chopped (or green pepper if unavailable)
1 tsp
1/4 tsp
ground clove
1 tsp
brown sugar
potatoes, peeled and diced mixed in 1 tsp molasses
1/4 c
olive oil to brown potatoes in

How to Make Ground Beef Picadillo


  • 1start softening rasins (set aside) and brown the potatoes in olive oil until golden and tender.
  • 2cook ground beef, jalapeno and onion about 1/2 done, then add garlic and cook a couple more minutes.
  • 3Add remaining ingredients
  • 4Serve over rice or you can use this mixture to make tamales or empanadas as well.
