This is a recipe that my grandmother, Marie Teitzel, always made for family gatherings.

  • 1/3 c
    chopped green onions
  • 1/2 c
    melted butter
  • 2 c
    sour cream
  • 2 c
    grated cheddar cheese
  • 6 large
    potatoes, boiled and grated
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup (cream of celery is good too)

How to Make Grandma's Potatoes


  1. Combine all ingredients. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Bake 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes.
  3. You can top the potatoes with extra cheese and deep fried onion bits if you want.
