This is a Thanksgiving and Christmas tradition. As in, I NEVER don't make it for either holiday, wherever I am. This is my gramma's recipe, handed down from her mother. I fudge a bit on the amount of nuts and brown sugar.

Ingredients
- MAIN INGREDIENTS
- 4 large sweet potatoes, cooked until soft through
- 1 1/2 cups butter, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 - eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- TOPPING
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans (sub. walnuts if desired)
How To Make gramma's sweet potato casserole

Step 1Preheat over to 325 Fahrenheit.

Step 2Beat all main ingredients together until smooth. Pour into 2 qt baking dish

Step 3Spread topping evenly over main ingredients.
