  • 2 pounds red potatoes - skin on
  • 1/4 cup pressed garlic
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make garlic mashed potatoes

  • Step 1
    Wash and scrub potatoes.
  • Step 2
    Cut potatoes into chunks and cover with water
  • Step 3
    Bring to a slow boil
  • Step 4
    Cook until tender but not mushy
  • Step 5
    Drain water from potatoes
  • Step 6
    Add butter, garlic, salt, cream and pepper
  • Step 7
    Whip potatoes until coarsely mashed
