This has become a joke between my brother and I. I made this for him and he gave me such a bad time about feeding him fish. Turns out he loved it, just giving baby sis a bad time. So when I made him a scrapbook, I made a whole page with this recipe on it. He still loves it. hope you will too. good any time of year.

Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, cut into 2 in. pieces
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 large thin skinned potatoes, diced, skin on. (i use baby reds & quarter them
- 1 large can whole tomatoes, (28 oz)
- 1 cup dry vermouth
- 1/2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 4 - bay leaves, dried
- 3-4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 pounds fish fillets
How To Make fisherman stew

Step 1In large kettle, cook bacon until crisp. Add onion and potatos to bacon drippings and cook, stirring, until onion is soft, about 10 minutes. Add tomatoes and their liquid. (break up with spoon). Stir in Vermouth, worcestershire, bay leaves, garlic and pepper. Cover abd simmer until potatoes are tender, about 35 minutes.

Step 2Cut fish into 2 in. pieces; add to vegetable mixture as soon as potatoes are tender. Stir gently to combine with sauce. Cover and continue cooking until fish is done, about 5 minutes. Season wth salt is desired..

Step 3I use, a firm white fish such as haddock, also you can throw in any fish you like, great to add steamer clams . oh wow. enjoy. xoxoxoxoxo
