Easy Cheddar Potato Cakes
2 cinstant potato flakes,
1 ccheddar cheese, shredded
1 tspseasoning salt
1 tspgarlic powder
1/2 tspblack pepper
1/4 cbutter, melted
·vegetable oil (for fying)
How to Make Easy Cheddar Potato Cakes
- In a bowl combine dry ingredients and onion.
In another bowl mix milk, egg, and melted butter. Whisk until well combined; add to the dry mixture; mix well.
Let the mixture sit for 10-12 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.
Using slightly wet hands, tightly shape into small balls (About 2 TBLS) place into hot oil then press down lightly with back of a spoon.
Cook about 3 minutes on each side or until browned. Remove to paper towels to drain. Add more oil as needed.
