This is an old Pennsylvania Dutch recipe that my family enjoyed for years. A pleasurable way to serve potatoes.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 cups diced raw potatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1-2 teaspoon minced parsley
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 teaspoons all purpose flour
How To Make dutch stewed potatoes

Step 1Melt butter in a large skillet; add onion slices and cook 5 minutes.

Step 2Add potatoes and a mixture of the salt, pepper and parsley.

Step 3Pour in boiling waterand cook covered until tender, about 20 minutes.

Step 4Blend together the water and flour and stir into skillet. Bring to boiling and cook one to two minutes until thickened.
