While at work with my co-worker who is from India..was asked to try these potatoes. I am not one who likes to try unfamiliar foods. However I tried these potatoes and now I cannot get enough of them...they are a bit spicy but delicious.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1 c
    chick pea flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • pinch
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh grated ginger (dried can be used)
  • 2
    green chili's - chopped
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 3 - 4
    russet potatoes

How to Make Dixita potatoes

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients EXCEPT for the water and Potatoes
  2. Peel Potatoes and slice - THICK
  3. Add a little water at a time to the ingredient mixture in step 1...add more water until nice and thick but smooth like a batter. Dip potatoes into batter and fry until golden brown
