CROCK POT : Orange-Spiced Sweet Potatoes
2 lbsweet potatoes, peeled and diced.
1/2 clight brown sugar, packed
1/2 c(1 stick) of butter or low-fat margarine, cut into smal pieces
1 tspground cinnamon
1/2 tspgrated orange peel
·juice of one medium orange
·chopped pecans, toasted (optional)
1 smallpackage of large marshmellows (optional)
·* to toast pecans, place in a single layer on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. watch to not burn. remove from oven and let cool.
How to Make CROCK POT : Orange-Spiced Sweet Potatoes
- Place all ingredients in a four quart crock pot/slow cooker, except pecans or marshmellows
- Place the lid on and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours or until potatoes are tender.
- Remove lid and aprinkle pecans or place marshmellows on top before serving, if desired.
