crock pot mashed potatoes
My mother gave me this helpful hint and I now do it everytime! After making your mashed potatoes...put them in the crock pot to keep warm. Thus, you can do them ahead of time!

Ingredients
- 5 pounds golden potatoes (or your choice)
- - milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1 package cream cheese
How To Make crock pot mashed potatoes

Step 1Peel the potatoes and cut them in quarters. Put in heavy pan and cover with water. Boil until tender, approximately 30 minutes.

Step 2Drain and then put in mixer bowl. As you begin to beat them, add milk to desired consistency; and then add up to one stick of butter and about 1/2 package of cream cheese. Again...up to you...but since I then put them in the crock pot, I like them a little creamier to start with!

Step 3Pour into greased crock pot and keep on low until you are ready for them!
